We’ve written before about Blackroom - formerly Lorraine, one of the best bands you’ve probably never heard of - but we recently got sent this new track so we’re going to go right ahead and write about them again.
Blackroom are a 3-piece (we think) hailing from Bergen, Norway (and we’ve been known to like things from Norway before). Lorraine were a straight up synthpop act (well ahead of their time as it turned out) but Blackroom seemed to be going down a more Depeche Mode route with their previous tracks, and going a little too rocky and heavy for our liking……but this track, What Is It That You Want, strikes the perfect balance - back to a more synthpop feel, but with enough edge to draw you in. It’s out on iTunes on March 22 so go and buy without delay (other than the inherent 12 day delay due to the fact it’s not released yet).
More, more, more please.
